Tracey:  If you were on an island, and could only take 5 things, what would you take and why? – Connie

Donny:  I would have to take my toothbrush, because I think it would be disgusting if I didn’t bring my toothbrush with me.  And I would have to take Cindy Thompson’s album “My World” because it is my favorite album of all time.  That’s a hard one.  I guess I’d want to take sunglasses.  Would it be cheating if I said I would take some flares to be rescued?

Tracey:  Hmm I don’t know, Donna?

Donna:  Maybe, I don’t know.

Donny:  *laughs*  Ok, I won’t put that in there.  I will take that out, because it will be cheating.  I would take a pineapple, if I couldn’t get them there, because I love it.  I don’t know, I’d want my cell phone, cos I can’t live without it.

Tracey:  Yeah, but then you could call somebody and rescue you that way too.

Donny:  Yeah, you know.  *laughs*

Donna:  But you might have telephones on the desert or island there.

Donny:  They might have what?  Oh, oh true.  Oh man, this question’s so hard.

All: *laughs*

Donna:  You wouldn’t bring a cd player to listen to your music?

Tracey:  No, he just thinks it’s going to play in mid-air.

Donny:  Seriously, I’ll just make a home-made cd player out of a coconut.

All:  *laughs*

Donny:  So funny.  I don’t even know where I’m at now.

Donna:  What about toothpaste for your toothbrush?

Donny:  I’m sure I could make something.

Tracey:  From a pineapple.

Donny:  *laughs* From a pineapple.

Tracey:  He’s just going to get everything he needs from a pineapple.

Donny:  *laughs* There you go.  That’s awesome.

Tracey:  How many things is that now?

Donna:  There were 3 I think, or was that 4?

Donny:  I don’t even know.

Donna:  A toothbrush, a cd, his sunglasses.

Tracey:  Cell phone.

Donna:  And a cell phone, and that’s it.

Donny:  And I would take a bag of Hershey kisses.

Donna:  Ooh, chocolate.

Donny:  Yeah.

Tracey:  *laughs* Oookay.  What do you do for fun? – Christie

Donny: There’s so much.  I like to watch movies, and go hang out, have a good time with my friends, up here in Canada, and in the States.  I don’t know.  Singing is fun to me, so I get to have fun all the time.

Tracey: If we looked through your dvd collection, what would we find?

Donny: Oh man, we just got the “Rent” movie.  I have “The Flinstones”, Second Season so that’s kind of cool.  I have some cool movies like “The Lovely” and “Wicker Park”.  That’s such a great movie.  “Enemy of State”, I can’t even look, “Little Shop of Horrors”, and of course there is my favorite movie “Coyote Ugly”.

Donna:  That’s a good movie.

Donny:  I know.

Donna:  LeAnn Rimes is in it.

Donny:  I know, she is.  Go figure right?  That’s totally not the reason I love it.  I just love the movie.

Donna:  It’s a good movie.  I love it.

Donny:  Definitely.

Tracey: What is in your CD player right now that isn't country? – Sherry

Donny:  “Natasha Bedingfield” is in it.  Lets see, I have a cd by a girl named, “Kate Earl”.  She’s amazing.  “Teddy Geiger”, the new “Pink” record, and “Amos Lee”.  There’s a crazy variety in there.

Tracey:  Sounds like it, everything from pop to…

Donny:  Pop to jazz to blues to everything.

Tracey: Who would be your personal influence(s) and who would be your professional influence(s) and what about them influences you to strive to become the best you can? – Yolanda

Donny:  Personal influences obviously my family and that keep me going, and stable where I need to be.  Mostly people that are a part of my music, and are giving me constant feedback.  That’s a good thing too.  Professional influences, my manager definitely, James.  He’s been an amazing guide to my career.  Chris in Nashville has been such a great help.  Pretty much all of the people, that have been involved in my career, have been there to help my career along.  They’ve all been amazing influences on me.

Tracey: What is your fondest memory growing up in a small town such as Lindsay and do you think you would continue to live in a small town or would you prefer to live in a larger city? – Vanessa

Donny: Oh, that’s a tough one.  Being in Lindsay was great, because it was a very small town community.  I just remember being young, and being able to go and do things, without having to worry about who was there and who was doing what.  There was always a lot to do, because it’s partially the country, so there’s always places to go and things to see.  It was a great place to grow up in.  I don’t know, I would probably still live in a smaller town sometime.  But, right now, I really enjoy the business of the city, and how much you can get done there.

Tracey: If you weren't in the music business what do you think you would be doing? – Julie

Donny:  Oh man, I have a big love for social services, and helping people’s lives get back on track.  I’d probably be doing something in that.  Social service working, psychology, and all that.

Tracey:  That’s awesome.  What’s your favorite place to go in Nashville? – Mariah

Donny:  Oh, the Longhorn Steak House, lets say that.  I have to shout out to all my friends there, because I have a bunch of friends that work there.  And actually, Café Cocoa is a great place as well.

Tracey:  Good food?

Donny:  Yeah, they both have good food.  Go figure, that they are both places to eat.  *laughs*

Tracey:  Well, you are a guy.

Donny:  That’s true.

Donna:  You can’t live without food.

Donny:  Oh  man, you have no idea. *laughs*

Tracey: Any final words that you’d like to say to your fans?

Donny: Just for sticking around.  I’ve had quite the last little while.  I appreciate all the support so much.  I’m very lucky to have so many people stick around.  I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate that.

Thanks to Donny for doing this follow up interview. It was great catching up. Thanks also to his management and the following fans for questions: Jocelyn, Christie, Dana, Connie, Yolanda, Sherry, Vanessa, Julie, and Mariah.
